Hello and welcome, my name is Balencia Stallings. I am a skilled and experienced professional Instructional Designer. It is my goal to build rapport with SMEs and stakeholders during collaboration while maintaining focus on needs of the target audience. With my years of experience creating training courses and my knowledge of instructional design learning theories, I am able to create enagaging learner-centered courses.
I enjoy reaping the benefits of being a lifelong learner. It enhances every part of my being, mentally, spiritually, and physically. Life is not always what we expect, therefore, I am very intentional about protecting my peace of mind and caring for my physical self. This combination allows me to be my BEST and to serve with excellence. Mental clarity is vital to producing the creativity needed as an Instructional Designer.
I am an alum of the University of Georgia and love Fall Saturdays, watching UGA football with family and friends. I also like being in nature and reading. One of my most memorable moments was taking a helicopter ride over Mt. St. Helens in 2015, and being up close and personal with this active volcano.
Helping people is part of my DNA. Being able to pour into and teach others brings me great joy. I am always seeking to challenge and push myself. When the opportunity to join the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) presented itself, I jumped at this chance. I love being able to design and develop content that is interactive and engaging. I am equipped and prepared to work with you.

MY DESIGN PROCESS
Analyze
In this phase, I will meet with all stakeholders to determine what the target audience needs are and if there are any gaps. I also assist the SMEs and stakeholders with establishing objectives, learning more about the target audience, and the business goals. To offer and deliver the best training, I will perform research on the product that will be most effective while also utilizing adult learning theory and educational design theory.
Design
In the design phase, I am flexible and adaptable to any feedback and/or changes. Trust among all parties involved is vital to delivering an end product that meets the goal of a project. I will take the information obtained from all parties involved and utilize the instructional design theories to create an engaging and purposeful learning solution.
Development
In this phase, I will build the learning solution using the course materials obtained in the desired module of the client.
Evaluation
In the final stage, the finished customized product is delivered to the client having gone through an alpha, beta, and gold stage of revision.
